San Sebastian - Planning the long term results in implant prosthetics.

Afholdes af Straumann Group

Niveau: Avanceret Point: 6

Goal Implant treatment has become a predictable treatment that offers a range of solutions for missing teeth.

After five decades of research and development the potential to achieve a good aesthetic result has been improved.

When a single tooth is missing, the first choice is often implant treatment. In these situations, the patients' requirements and expectations has increased, particularly when it comes to replacing lost teeth in the aesthetic zone.

How should you predictively determine the treatment outcome, so the expectations of the patients' end up in a realistic way?

How should you use the prosthetic solution for soft tissue management to achieve the best aesthetic result as possible?

The lecture focuses on clinical cases, showing step by step instructions including how to shape the mucosa and also how to take a good impression. We struggle with problems as “chip offs” and fractured screws when it comes to major bridges and full bridges. In these restorations, the design of the restoration is of great importance. A good fit has been found to be very important for successful results.

Should we cast or mill, screw or cement, use abutments or not?
